City Farmhouse is a warm, textural retreat in the heart of Nairobi, crafted for those who seek soulful living wrapped in understated elegance. Inspired by the charm of Berber village homes and the curated ease of Soho House interiors, this residence offers a layered, grounding atmosphere—a gentle escape from the city’s pace without ever leaving it.
Interior design takes center stage in this transformation. Walls were washed in sun-worn hues of clay, chalk, and ochre, bringing depth and movement to each room. Rounded corners, built-in benches, and natural plasters create softness, while handwoven rugs, artisan light fixtures, and curated objects infuse the space with intimacy and story. The layout embraces flow and function, drawing light into communal spaces that invite gathering, lounging, or quiet reflection.
Each room balances comfort with character—modern silhouettes meet textured walls, vintage finds meet clean-lined cabinetry. Soft neutrals and earthy tones keep the palette grounded, while thoughtful accent pieces lend a quiet confidence. The design embraces slow living: open shelving instead of cluttered cabinets, reading nooks by the window, and materials that age beautifully with time.
City Farmhouse is more than an interior project—it’s a philosophy of home. One that honors beauty in imperfection, connection in detail, and calm in every corner. A space designed not just to live in, but to feel deeply rooted in.
